Owning a pet and a beautiful home can be done, with a little planning and creativity.

When choosing furniture,  always take into consideration the color of your pets coat.  Black hair won’t go well on white furniture, and white hair won’t go well on black.  So try to keep the color in mind.

Always go with a tough fabric or leather, for easy cleaning.  but know ahead of time what you’re dealing with.

Leather can be tough and some small scratches might rub out, but probably not a good match for a cat.

Patterned rugs brighten a room and tend to hide dirt well.  Try to go with cheaper rugs so that they can be thrown out after some time without too much guilt.

Using runners on hard wood floors will help prevent damage from scratching.  And pets don’t want to slip, so they should be drawn to them.

Be creative with your dog crates.  Get a dog crate cover or table top, and maybe add a lil dog decor to it, like dog picture frames or trinkets.
