  1. The life of Navy sea lions and dolphins explained, as they train in San Diego.

    “Navy dolphins and sea lions excel at finding mines and intruders underwater. Their exceptional acoustic, vision, and diving abilities outperform human divers and undersea vehicles.”

    The sea lions train for 2–5 years, while dolphins train for 5–7 years, building a close bond with their trainers.
    This program has Navy animals learning through positive reinforcement.

  2. From cutest, to cuddly, to the most vibrant colors, these were some of the exotics that gained popularity from 2025 to 2026.

    Pictured is the Axolotls- A freshwater amphibian native to Mexico.

    The Fennec Fox,- A native to the Sahara Desert,

    And the ever so popular Sugar Glider-
    A small marsupial from Australia, just to name a few.

  3. While snakes are surely terrifying to have around, the King snake is one that keep you safe from venomous snakes.

    The King snake labeled for it’s ability to take on, and even feed on other snakes including rattlesnakes and copperheads, to whose venom they are immune.

    This one resides in the backyard of one Escondido home

  4. The dragonfly is not only beautiful to look at, but a great addition to the garden as they feed on buzzy pests like flies and mosquitoes.

    An aquatic insect, the dragonfly lives near water, so having a small pond in your garden is a sure draw.
    Add some flowering plants to attract them, and keep them coming.

  5. This is the new addition to our outdoor terrarium. I love it!

    Outdoor terrariums are so much fun!
    But always make sure its kept up, so not to be a breeding ground for mosquitos.

    Mosquitos can transmit so many diseases that can be harmful to both you and your pet.  The very well known zika virus that spread to people, and of course heartworm that can be transmitted to your pet.
    Did you know there are over ten diseases that can be transmitted by mosquitos?

    Fish are always a good idea in a terrarium, to keep mosquito larvae out of your pond. Along with a good filter to keep water clean and moving.

    They are so easy to build, and when kept up so beautiful.  I don’t remember a Summer without dragonflies.
