    They can get very used to routine, and when routine gets disupted, so do they.

    It’s often thought that cats are very independent, but they are in fact very social animals.
    They love playtime and being around others.

    So it’s very true that just like dogs, they too can develop separation anxiety.

  4. Keeping a cat well hydrated is one easy way to prevent UTI’s.

    A cat that prefers a dry diet over wet is one that could easily become less hydrated, leading to the dreaded UTI.

    High carb diets like kibble can cause the urine pH to raise and cause your cat to dehydrate which could then lead to crystals or even bladder stones.

    My cat “Alex” prefers dry so without leaving standing dishes because he also likes to over eat, he gets two portions a day with added water like cereal. One dish in the am and again in the pm. With a mid day yogurt treat.

    After two UTI’s landed him at the vet a few years back, we have managed to keep him hydrated and avoided any more trouble.

    Just like us all cats are different- Talk to your veterinarian to find healthy ways to manage your cat’s diet and overall health.

    ** Yogurt should only be used in moderation and with caution as some cats may be lactose intolerant.

    While we think cats are best at being cute and cuddly….they have also been known as yep, pest control!

    – For not only years, but centuries, many have worked to protect farms, ships, and homes from unwanted pests, mainly rodents.

    With their amazing capabilities, these quick hunters have been proven to keep the rodent population down, sometimes just by their presence alone.

    The big reward…. A cozy lap n good food. ?❤️
