Cloning, yes or no?
Well, let’s first take a look at some of the cloned……
A man in Arizona had cloned his pet, giving full details on his experience. This came after Barbara Streisand revealed in an interview with Variety that she had cloned her pet.
We all can agree losing a pet is very difficult, but cloning a pet?
Before jumping into it, there are a few things to consider….
It’s not as easy as taking a picture of your pet, there is a long process to cloning. Scientific American goes into great detail the process of cloning a companion animal.
There are other dogs involved too. Like the need for a surrogate mother dog to carry the puppies to birth. and then what happens to the other puppies that don’t closely resemble your pet? A lot of things to consider.
And remember, you can’t clone a personality.
Each day of experiences, the paths that we cross, all build who we are up to this very day. Yes that applies to pets as well. Pets develop so many different personalities. Could you handle being around the likeness of one of your beloved pet(s) having them act like a different dog or cat? With a cat it may not be as obvious, but a dog maybe.
And maybe science is going somewhere it shouldn’t.
