Look out Banfield! This in store vet has prices that are hard to beat. With exams at $15 and very competitive prices on 3yr vaccines, it was hard to say no.

As of January Petco has opened a new veterinary in store clinic called Thrive
Maintaining good health is important, and that can be difficult as veterinary prices increase every year. So this was a good find.

They were very friendly and got me in right away. And of course you have a full store of supplies if you need any.

I took the three dogs in for all vaccines and general health check up at the Escondido location on Valley Parkway. So they’re all up to date.

For general health care I think they’re great and affordable.

Unfortunately I did have an emergency the other day and was told they did not have any appointments available and were not set up for emergencies. So be ready with a back up plan.

Not sure if this is the norm, or was just a very busy day.
I’ll be honest though, being told “Not set up for emergencies” did not leave me with a good feeling.

I was a little disappointed, as they were the closest to me and had done the exam a week prior. But glad to know for future reference, as this was just a pulled ligament and all ok.
