  2. A Broadbill Swordfish was spotted cruising along La Jolla coastline.
A very rare and exciting moment as these are usually found in deeper waters, not along the coast.

Not to be mistaken for a marlin, as both are very similar, and known for their size and speed.
The marlin has a flashy dorsal fin and tail along with a very pronounced stripe.

The swordfish, however is not as flashy in color and the bill, a flatter shape more like an actual sword.

Without a doubt La Jolla is the place to be to capture some cool scenes and sea life on camera or video!

  5. This is the new addition to our outdoor terrarium. I love it!

Outdoor terrariums are so much fun!
But always make sure its kept up, so not to be a breeding ground for mosquitos.

Mosquitos can transmit so many diseases that can be harmful to both you and your pet.  The very well known zika virus that spread to people, and of course heartworm that can be transmitted to your pet.
Did you know there are over ten diseases that can be transmitted by mosquitos?

Fish are always a good idea in a terrarium, to keep mosquito larvae out of your pond. Along with a good filter to keep water clean and moving.

They are so easy to build, and when kept up so beautiful.  I don’t remember a Summer without dragonflies.
