With permission granted for two more years, California’s popular Big Bay Boom of San Diego Bay, is given time to “rethink the use of fireworks during the Fourth of July celebration of Independance Day.
Their hope is for a solution, in order to protect the bay and nearby wildlife.”
Planning environmentally safe celebrations
A new environmentally friendly show with drones could take the place of fireworks as early as 2027.
Specialized quadcopters or hexacopters equipped with powerful LED lighting could take the place of traditional fireworks.
Drone shows are becoming more popular throughout the United States with beautiful and creative displays across the sky.
But planning does not come cheap.
Skilled team members need to be in place for planning such an event, as it requires airspace clearance, as well as involvement with local authorities and hiring highly skilled drone operators to provide a safe and seamless performance.
Drones have environmental benefits over traditional fireworks.
Fireworks are known to release pollutants and pose fire hazards.
Just the sound of fireworks alone causes stress on animals. The reported number of pets that go missing increase each year during this time.
Even people such as veterans with ptsd or noise sensitivity can be affected by fireworks.
To reduce the noise could allow for more spectators to join in the celebration.
-As the planning is in place, we will soon see where this goes.
