  6. Fall preparations, horses and the cold weather ahead.

    – Many might think that a stable must be kept warm for a horse in the colder months. BUT its actually safer for a horse to have ventilation rather than a warm stable.

    “As temperatures drop, horses may require more calories to maintain their body condition and stay warm. Consult your veterinarian regarding adjusting their feeding regimen, ensuring they receive the right amount of nutrients and energy.”

  8. We always recommend flea control to keep our pets comfortable during the summer months.
    BUT ALWAYS MAKE SURE IT IS THE RIGHT PRODUCT AND DOSAGE FOR YOUR PET.

    – Too much product can cause illness, and using the wrong product on smaller or fragile pets can even be fatal.

    Always get advice from a veterinarian and take the time to read the product information BEFORE using.

  9. From cutest, to cuddly, to the most vibrant colors, these were some of the exotics that gained popularity from 2025 to 2026.

    Pictured is the Axolotls- A freshwater amphibian native to Mexico.

    The Fennec Fox,- A native to the Sahara Desert,

    And the ever so popular Sugar Glider-
    A small marsupial from Australia, just to name a few.

  13. While snakes are surely terrifying to have around, the King snake is one that keep you safe from venomous snakes.

    The King snake labeled for it’s ability to take on, and even feed on other snakes including rattlesnakes and copperheads, to whose venom they are immune.

    This one resides in the backyard of one Escondido home

  21. This is the new addition to our outdoor terrarium. I love it!

    Outdoor terrariums are so much fun!
    But always make sure its kept up, so not to be a breeding ground for mosquitos.

    Mosquitos can transmit so many diseases that can be harmful to both you and your pet.  The very well known zika virus that spread to people, and of course heartworm that can be transmitted to your pet.
    Did you know there are over ten diseases that can be transmitted by mosquitos?

    Fish are always a good idea in a terrarium, to keep mosquito larvae out of your pond. Along with a good filter to keep water clean and moving.

    They are so easy to build, and when kept up so beautiful.  I don’t remember a Summer without dragonflies.
