Nevada is known for its exotic pets.
From sugar gliders, to monkeys, ferrets, and even kangaroos!  They have plenty.

But there are strict laws in place, so if you want to own an exotic, you must know the guidelines and how to keep your pet secure.

Some exotics may require having the appropriate permits put in place by the state of which you live.

Laws for animals are strict.  The abandonment or neglect of an animal that can no longer be cared for are severe.

Servals are strictly banned from ownership in the following states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming.

The ownership of a Serval is not allowed if you were to live in any one of those states.

Though laws do change, so it’s important to check before making a move on any exotic pet.

• Vaccinations- Rabies among others
• Flea control-  Controlling the flea population, and preventing health risks
